No question is too small if you’re stuck, Technical Support is the right place for errors.
Hello ODE, Brian Patrick Bahati is my name and I’m a passionate Cybersecurity Enthusiast, Ethical Hacker, and Open Source Contributor driven by a mission to build safer, smarter, and more transparent digital systems.
With a strong foundation in network security, penetration testing, and vulnerability assessment, I focus on identifying threats before they become risks — and turning every challenge into an opportunity for stronger defense. My approach combines technical skill with integrity, ensuring that security is not just a reaction, but a culture.
Beyond cybersecurity, I actively contribute to open source communities, collaborating with global developers to improve tools and systems that make technology more accessible and reliable for everyone. Open source has shaped my growth — it’s where learning meets impact, and where collaboration turns into innovation.
I believe in continuous learning, ethical responsibility, and empowering others through knowledge sharing and community-driven development.
Focus Areas: Cybersecurity | Ethical Hacking | Open Source Development | Network Defense | Security Awareness
Values: Integrity • Collaboration • Continuous Improvement

Hello ODE community! My name is Mishael, and I’m currently based in Kenya. I’m passionate about contributing to open-source projects that help make the world a little more efficient and connected.
I currently work and contribute to the education sector, where I work with different open-source LMS platforms and tools to improve the learning experience for students, educators, and communities. I strongly believe that knowledge is power, and I enjoy being part of projects that create meaningful impact — just like ODE. Outside of tech, I’m a huge fan of musical instruments, language learning, and exploring new ideas from different cultures and communities
Excited to be here and looking forward to learning, contributing, and connecting with everyone!
Hi @misha
Happy to have you here
Hi everyone!
Emil here - one of the people behind ODE ![]()
ODE grew from a simple belief: organizations should be in full control of their own data, workflows, and infrastructure and build on technology that is transparent, extensible, interoperable, ethical, and designed to last.
Quickly this evolved into a genuinely supportive open-source community with a remarkably talented group of developers and contributors, all sharing a curiosity for building thoughtful, durable systems while continuously learning in a rapidly changing software world (looking at you Claude!)
Outside of ODE, I enjoy nerding over espresso, Linux, and scuba diving with perhaps slightly over-optimized hogarthian DIR gear setups.
I’d love to discuss architecture (software or otherwise), AI assisted development, OSS teams, governance, field workflows, sync edge-cases, developer experience, open-source sustainability, or whatever interesting things people here are building around ODE.
Looking forward to meeting everyone ![]()
Hello, my name is Jerry Laruba Festus.
A South Sudanese currently living and working from Kampala, Uganda.
I am an Open Data Ensemble Front-End developer and community member.
Lets connect on github here.
Outside development and work, you’d probably find me deeply hooked and worked up by an anime, manga or comic.
Dogs, movies, TV, cars and fashion are topics we can discuss for hours!
Glad to be here and have the chance to meet you all.
